Universal electrode clips. Note: do NOT let the alligator clips directly bite your ears. There will be pain and blood. The alligator clips are intended to attach to other electrodes that attach to your ear. The alligator clips came from 2 jumpers I got at the electronics store, cut in half, and soldered to the clear stranded speaker wire. Having universal clips avoids using lead solder near/on the skin and allows for many different types of electrodes (and easy cleaning of those electrodes since they are removable). At the end of the wire is the univeral 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo plug. I wired both tip and ring (left and right channels) together and hooked them up to the yellow wire. The green wire is hooked up to the connector sleeve (ground). My preference is for different colored wires to differentiate between hot and ground (not that it really matters much with true and balanced AC signals).
